Arsenal take on Brighton at the Emirates in the final Premier League match for the Gunners before the International break. Arsene Wenger’s men will be eyeing to continue their good run of form and end the month of September as unbeaten but it promises to be a tricky encounter for Arsenal as the newly promoted side have been decent so far.
Arsenal will be missing Cazorla, Welbeck, Coquelin and Mesut Ozil as all of them are recovering from injuries.
Santi Cazorla is out for the Gunners
Brighton will be without Tomer Hemed, who starts a three-match ban, when they head to Arsenal. Sam Baldock is still missing with a calf problem but Glenn Murray is doubtful as he had an ankle injury. Steve Sidwell will also be missing because of a back injury, and another player Beyram Kayal is out with a broken leg.
Team News and Preview:
Arsene Wenger will welcome the likes of Sanchez and Lacazette who didn’t feature in the Europa League on Thursday. Also Petr Cech is certain to return as the Gunners’ custodian while Koscielny and Monreal will retain their places at the centre of defense. The French manager is expected to field a three men defense while Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey will return at the midfield, the star performer in Belarus Jack Wilshere will have to settle on the bench.
Alex Lacazette has scored all his 4 Arsenal goals at the Emirates
Brighton, missing their striker Hemed will be a bit short on attack and their manager Chris Hughton will have to marshall his troops at the back to contain the fiery attack of the home side. Knockaert and March at the two wing positions will have to penetrate and capitalize on chances to break the Arsenal defense, which sometimes can be a bit shaky.
