Germany midfielder Leon Goretzka is supposedly pulling in a lot of transfer interest from all the top clubs of Europe including the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool to name a few.
The Germany midfielder was earlier been offered another five-year contract by the Bundesliga side where he could gain a yearly wage of €10 million to make him the highest paid player at the club. But the midfielder who just has a single year left on his agreement declined to expand his deal at the club, which for the most part explained that the midfielder will be a free agent in summer.
What’s more, now some of the reports have mounted that the midfielder is presently an interest of different clubs for a January signing and Schalke too want to offer the player as they would prefer not to lose the player as a free agent.
Schalke Sporting executive Christian Heidel also earlier discussed Goretzka’s situation and implied that in the upcoming January everything will be clear.
“I’d like to think that by the winter break we will have clarity,” he said.
But now as per well-known media group of Germany, Sports Bild has published that Premier League clubs Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all enquired about the midfielder, although, the 22-year-old is also a subject of interest from Bayern and Barca and Goretzka mostly wants a move towards the last two clubs.
Goretzka has set up himself as one of the best players for Schalke since the 2013/14 season and has for quite some time been viewed as one of the best young players on the field. The 22-year-old scored five times for Schalke a year ago while additionally astonished everybody with his presentations for Germany at Confederations Cup where he became the top scorer of the competition.
