Liverpool, the record 8-time League Cup winners, are currently having a tough time at home and Europe since suffering a  5-0 defeat against Manchester City after the international break. Leicester, under Craig Shakespeare, had a disappointing inception of the new campaign as they suffered defeats against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. The Foxes defeated Sheffield United in round two of the competition and their superlative home form against the Reds has made them confident enough to bounce back to winning ways.
