The goal tally started very early in the 5th minute of the match when Willian received the ball from a corner and laid it on the path of unmarked Pedro. The Spaniard guided a curl into the back of the net from just outside of the box. In the 30th minute, Chelsea’s newcomer Davide Zappacosta showed his class as he received a ball from the Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois at the edge of the Chelsea box. He started a straight run beating two opponent men with just speed and tried to deliver a powerful cross into the box. But fortunately, the ball turned towards the goal and past the goalkeeper. With a two goal lead, Chelsea became more dreadful in the second half as they increased their lead in the 55th minute of the game when Cesc Fabregas delivered a mouth-watering ball with his out step into the box. Chelsea’s right back Cesar Azpilicueta gave all respect to the delivery by sending it into the back of the net with a simple header.

Qarabag’s humiliation continued at the Bridge as Chelsea’s substitute Tiemou Bakayoko also registered his name on the scoresheet in the 71st minute of the game. Chelsea star Eden Hazard placed a wonderful ground delivery into the box and it came into the path of the Frenchman, whose shot deflected into the goal. In the 76th minute of the game, Chelsea continued their goal fest as the forward Michy Batshuayi scored the fifth for his team from just outside of the Qarabag box. The Blues put the last nail in the coffin following an own goal from the visitors in the 82nd minute of the game. Davide Zappacosta went past the left backs of Qaraback with ease and laid the ball in the path of Michy Batshuayi. Had the goal not been an own goal, the Belgian could have registered his second. With the result, Chelsea will be flying high before facing their London rivals, Arsenal on Sunday.
