After a couple of weeks absence due to tedious international break, the excitement of Premier League football is finally back this weekend when Manchester City will host the high-flying Liverpool this Saturday afternoon.
Liverpool demolished Arsenal by a gigantic 4-0 margin last gameweek, whereas Manchester City looked far from convincing despite snatching all three points from their trip to Bournemouth banking on an injury time goal scored by Raheem Sterling. Pep Guardiola, the City boss, is yet to register a win against Jurgen Klopp in Premier League and will be looking to alter the outcome at Etihad.
Manchester City vs Liverpool Injuries and Suspensions:
Former Liverpool prodigy Raheem Sterling will miss this game after receiving a marching order against Bournemouth. Skipper Vincent Kompany had a knock while having his international duty for Belgium and is doubtful for the epic encounter. Ilkay Gundogan has returned in training following a season-ending ACL injury and currently playing for the reserves in order to regain the rhythm.
Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana, two of Liverpool’s crucial stars, are ruled for months with their respective back and thigh injury. Philippe Coutinho has been retained despite he handed in a transfer request to join Barcelona and currently training with the squad after returning from his international duties. He, however, is not expected to face City after missing out the majority of pre-season with a ‘sore back’.

Also, skipper Jordan Henderson, Dutchman Gini Wijnaldum, and in-form Emre Can will run the show from the middle of the park. But all eyes will be on new signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who is expected to make it to the traveling squad and get a few minutes for his new employers.
