Arsenal have reportedly rejected two late bids for Calum Chambers from Leicester City with the latest to be believed around 20 million.
Chambers’ future have been a matter of speculation as the defender wasn’t regular at the Arsenal and spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough. Arsenal was ready to let him leave earlier in the window as they told him that they can’t guarantee him a centre back position regularly, but it seems that Wenger has changed his stance regarding the former Southampton man and is ready to let him stay for at least another season.
Chambers started his Arsenal career decently since joining in 2014 but he has been down the pecking order after the arrivals of Mustafi, Gabriel and he also lost his order as a right back after the emergence of Bellerin at that position.
And according to BBC, the young defender is all prepared to stay at the Emirates after all.
Also this may have a connection with the sell of Gabriel to Valencia, while Mustafi may also leave before the deadline as Italian giants Inter are interested in him. Arsenal have had a frustrating start to the season and a topsy turvy window so far. With the ongoing saga regarding Sanchez’s future, the latest to leave Arsenal was Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, who left to join Liverpool while Kieran Gibbs has also departed for West Brom.
There could be more outgoings at Arsenal, however, with Lucas Perez and Mathieu Debuchy potentially leaving, while Joel Campbell may depart on another loan deal, who recently came back from a long term injury.
Arsenal have also cleared that they will not accept any cash only offer from Manchester City for Alexis Sanchez, who want the Chilean desperately and have seen a 50 million bid rejected.
The Gunners want Raheem Sterling as a part of deal but it is to be understood that the England international doesn’t want to leave Etihad at the moment.
