New Premier League season is about to begin and Liverpool, 18 times league champions, will be visiting Watford on Saturday afternoon.
The fixture at Vicarage Road will witness the new Hornets boss Marco Silva’s first official game in charge following his impressive short stint at Hull City despite failing to avoid a relegation scare last season. The young Portuguese tactician has brought in a few new names – right-back Kiko Femenia from Alaves, former Derby County midfielder Will Hughes, Brazil U-20 attacker Richarlison from Fluminense, ex-Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah and most recently Andre Gray, the forward who joined them for a club record transfer fee from Burnley.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have suffered transfer blows regarding Naby Keita and Virgil Van Dijk, but Jurgen Klopp, the German gaffer, is happy with his squad strength (that includes new arrivals Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke and Andrew Robertson) and ready to challenge for the title this season.
