When India lost the final to Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, two players who were made the scapegoat of the loss were Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.

Bumrah, who holds the record for overstepping the most number of times in ODIs, has on some occasions taken a wicket off a no-ball. Recently, in the final against Pakistan, the 23-year old had opener Fakhar Zaman caught behind by MS Dhoni when he was batting on 3.

However, Bumrah had overstepped while Fakhar got a fresh lease of life, and made the most of it as he went on to score 114 runs and practically snatch away the game from India. The defending champions lost by a huge 180 runs margin.

Following the no-ball, Rajasthan police took the issue to a completely different level by having an advertisement that showed a picture of a couple of cars standing behind the ‘Zebra Crossing’ and Bumrah’s no-ball to Zaman with a text saying, “Don’t cross the line. You know it can be costly.”

Bumrah took the issue to social media and sent out a message on Twitter and Instagram saying, “well done Jaipur traffic police this shows how much respect you get after giving your best for the country But don’t worry I won’t make fun of the mistakes which you guys make at your work because I believe humans can make mistakes.”

There is no denying the fact that Bumrah has a knack of overstepping but one has to acknowledge that he is also one of the best death over specialists India has ever produced.

The Indian team is currently playing West Indies in a five-match ODI series but Bumrah is not a part of it as the selectors wanted to give him some rest. He will next play in the  limited-overs leg in Sri Lanka in August.
