Transfer: Liverpool set to sign Premier League star with an £8million deal

Liverpool are reportedly on the edge of agreeing on a deal for Andrew Robertson.

Hull City left back Andrew Robertson could make a switch to the Red half of the Merseyside side in the upcoming summer.

The Scotland international has been watched by the Liverpool scouts numerous of times for the last couple of months and according to reports, Jurgen Klopp could sign the 23-year-old full-back in the Summer as he eyes squad overhaul.

Robertson has been the standout performer for the struggling Hull City this season and has put a number of top sides on red alert ahead of the summer transfer window. The former Queen’s Park Rangers left-back scored one goal and created 17 chances in 28 Premier League appearances for Hull so far this season and is also a regular member of his Scottish national team where he appeared 14 times, scoring once.

Klopp is resolute to bring in reserves at left-back ahead of the 2017/18 campaign and Robertson has emerged as a serious target. The Tigers activated a one-year extension on Robertson’s contract in this year December, however, according to reports, the Scotland international could be available just for £8million. with Alberto Moreno set to leave the Reds, Robertson could become a long-term replacement

Liverpool, this season have faced struggles at the left back and the German boss has been forced into playing midfielder James Milner into that position in spite of the presence of Alberto Moreno. Klopp seemed to have unimpressed by the Spanish left back’s performance and if reports are to be believed Moreno could leave the club in Summer which could make this deal happen greatly.

With 197 senior appearances and a fee of just £8 million, Robertson could become a perfect Jurgen Klopp signing this Summer with another bargain in the offing.

Apart from Robertson, Liverpool has also enquired about Real Betis’ left back Riza Durmisi and another 16-year-old young prospect Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.
