Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp hopes to sign at least six players for next season as he does not expect any restrictions to be placed on Liverpool’s transfer budget in the summer.

Klopp, has confessed that his squad needs more depth in order to keep up a fight for the Premier League title next season. The Reds have dropped many points and have lost their 2016 form this year, as they have started to fall back in the Premier League title race having picked up just two wins in their last five league matches.

The Reds suffered a disastrous 3-1 defeat against relegation threatened Leicester City last week. It was a better display from Liverpool on Saturday though, when they demolished Arsenal 3-1 and jumped up to the third place. It is, however, not yet sure whether they will be able to hold on to the spot, for both Arsenal and the Manchester sides have matches on hand.

Klopp’s team also got eliminated from both the EFL Cup and FA Cup in space of two days, as the Reds first suffered a 1-0 defeat against Southampton in the second leg of their EFL cup tie, and two days later suffered another disastrous defeat to Wolves to see themselves exit from the FA Cup as well.

Klopp spent a total of 60 million last season to bring in six new players last summer and is looking forward to spent something similar at the end of this season as well.

“The club have never said to me that a certain figure is too expensive; that has not happened yet and I don’t expect it to happen,” Klopp stated on Saturday evening, before Liverpool’s match against Arsenal FC.

Klopp later added that everyone at the club including the sporting director, the scouting department, the owners and Klopp himself, all have the same target and that is to make the club as successful as possible. The German also claims that Liverpool FC could have possibly signed two or three players during in January but the transfer window did not give him the opportunity to do so.

The bos further added: “We will be prepared for the summer window, for sure. We are working on it already – we might need between two and six players.”

The Reds have struggled to compete with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City financially in the previous transfer windows and common belief says that the club needs to spent big in order to bring in top players to Anfield.
