Australian players deal with awkward situation at Mumbai airport

The Australian cricket team landed in Mumbai on Monday to take on India in a four-match Test series which begins on February 23rd at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. The visitors, however, had to deal with a strange situation upon their arrival at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport yesterday.

Instead of the baggage handlers looking after their bags, the Australian cricketers were themselves seen loading their bags onto the team bus that was responsible for transporting their kits to the hotel.

Having been whitewashed the last time they visited India, the Australian cricketers will be looking forward to put on a better show this time around. Their weak zone seems to be the spinner, against whom they have struggled in the recent past and with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja leading the spin bowling attack, they will have their task cut-out. Meanwhile, the hosts will be looking to further improve their unbeaten run and look to inflict another whitewash on the Australian.

The first Test will take place in Pune From February 23-27th after which the teams will travel to Bangalore for the second Test which begins on March 4th. The final two Tests will take place in Ranchi and Dharamsala respectively.

Australia last toured India in 2012-13 where they got beaten 4-0. India are in supreme form as they have not lost their previous 19 Tests and just recently got the better off Bangladesh by 208 runs in a one-off Test which was held at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad.

Australia, on the other hand, in the recent past have had quite a few ups and downs. After losing to South Africa at home in a 3 match Test series back in November 2016, they trounced Pakistan 3-0 in the Test series at home.

With both India and Australia having enough weapons in their kit, the series promises to be an interesting one.
