The first half of the Premier League 2016/17 is over, and we are into the reverse legs of the Fantasy Premier League.

Beyond doubt, the biggest fixture of this gameweek is the face off between Tottenham and Chelsea. The table toppers, 6 points clear of second placed Liverpool, have won 13 consecutive games and will look forward to extend the run against high-flying Spurs. Another big clash will be the encounter of Everton and Southampton. Elsewhere, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal will look forward to get away with easy wins while Manchester United will take a testing trip to West Ham.

Here are the complete fixtures of gameweek 20:

Injury updates:

A hapless Sunderland have further run into trouble as their in-form goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will be out for about two months with a knee injury. Maarten Stekelenburg, Shkodran Mustafi, James Tomkins and Luke Shaw are still unavailable. In addition, Virgil Van Dijk got marching orders against West Bromwich and will miss the next game. However, Tottenham duo Kyle Walker and Toby Alderweireld will be back against league leaders Chelsea.

On the other hand, Eric Bailly will be on international duties from this week while Sadio Mane will do the same from the next gameweek. It is high time that Fantasy Premier League managers sell them at the earliest convenience. Liverpool duo Joel Matip and Philippe Coutinho have returned to training, but they might not be risked against Sunderland. The Reds’ captain Jordan Henderson also picked up an injury against Manchester City and might be out this gameweek.

Among others, James McArthur, Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Dean Marney, Charlie Austin, Yannick Bolasie and Jamie Vardy will be out. Budget options Fernando Llorente and Victor Anichebe are also doubtful.

Tips and suggestions:

Fantasy Premier League managers will get their second wildcard active from today. However, a wise thing would be to hold on to it until a few new transfers are in business and the best time to use the wildcard would be the end of the month.

On the other hand, a few important players will take a leave for international duties in the African Cup of Nations and one should plan accordingly to find an able replacement. Sadio Mane, sitting in nearly 20% Fantasy Premier League teams, is one of the biggest names in this regard. Possible choices to consider in his place are his teammate Adam Lallana, Manchester United’s biggest signing Paul Pogba and in form Spurs midfielders Christian Eriksen and Delle Alli.

Up front, Diego Costa, Alexis Sanchez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic continue to be the top players, even with the difficult fixtures on hand. Willian, Cesc Fabregas, Antonio Valencia and Romelu Lukaku may also rack up some points in the coming weeks. Sergio Aguero has returned to the Manchester City squad and he should be looking for some goals as well. Besides, Matt Phillips, Benik Afobe, Nathan Ake, Jermain Defoe, Charlie Daniels, Winston Reid and Eric Pieters provide some budget friendly options.

Fantasy Premier League captain:

It might be a bit tricky to make a decision this week. Although Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United should emerge out victorious, they all have away games and players might have a hard time scoring big. In this regard, we think Aguero will be the best option. However, chances can surely be taken with the likes of Sanchez, Ibrahimovic or Lallana.
