Premier League : Team of the Week from Gameweek-18

With our boxing day fixtures coming to an end we look into the best set of players in the league for our team of the week, with all the top six teams winning comfortably at their respective venues.

Joel Robles(Everton): The Merseyside stopper features in our first team of the week, as he produced an excellent performance in this midweek against last season’s champions.

Leighton Baines(Everton): Another Evertonian feature in our team this week as the English Left-back was pivotal in helping the Toffees keep a much-needed clean sheet. Since his switch to a left wing back position Baines is enjoying his football like never before.

Ben Mee(Burnley): Burnley’s first clean sheet since October, and a sublime performance from the defence, especially to Mee who was superb in their win keeping Negredo at bay.

Winston Reid(West Ham): Since his return to full fitness, West Ham have been a completely different side compared to the one who are fighting for relegation. If West Ham are to fight for a midtable spot by the end of the season, he will be the key man to give them a boost.

Hector Bellerin(Arsenal): Bellerin features in our team of the week for the second time this season, and with a rattling performance that switched Wenger’s play, he was key to Arsenal’s link-up play.

Christian Eriksen(Spurs): Eriksen is the engine in the Spurs midfield. Eriksen was brilliant yet again and set up twice to take the lead after Southampton took the lead in the first minute of the game.

Adam Lallana(Liverpool): Lallana made his mark as his goal brought Liverpool back in the game with a sublime finish, and was instrumental in the side’s comeback victory.

Dele Alli(Spurs): Alli made his mark after a long time for the Spurs in emphatic fashion scoring twice after Southampton had to play with 10 men for the last 33 minutes after Redmond was shown a red.

Pedro(Chelsea): With Diego Costa suspended, Conte opted to bring in Pedro instead of Batshuyi and he was heavily rewarded for the circumstances to follow after Pedro scored one and assisted Hazard’s goal to keep their winning streak running.

Raheem Sterling(Manchester City): Sterling was a pleasing watch after assisting twice in the game to march on their title credentials and trying to fulfill his price tag.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United): Featuring in our team of the week for the second week running he was the key man in the side. He was involved in every goal to be scored by Manchester United.
