‘Arsenal have got stronger squad than Chelsea’, says Premier League manager

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis thinks Arsenal have better squad.

Following 12 games’ winning streak, the Premier League leaders Chelsea are definitely considered to be the hot favourites to land the title this year by the pundits so far. Arsenal, on the other hand, are at the fourth spot of the table, nine points shy of Chelsea.

Most of the renowned analysts of the game have been impressed with the spirit generated in the team by the Chelsea man in charge Antonio Conte. On the other hand, few of them consider that the West London side do have the squad depth, that they require lifting the trophy. But the West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has stated his opinion with a different point of view as the Premier League manager has mentioned that Arsenal have the better squad than that of their arch rivals Chelsea.

A late goal from Olivier Giroud has confirmed the victory for Arsenal over Pulis’ side at the Emirates Stadium on the Boxing Day fixture. Previously, West Bromwich Albion had to taste a late defeat against Chelsea earlier in this December and it has been a part of Chelsea’s 12 game winning streak in the Premier League so far in this season.

In spite of holding the top spot with a seven points difference from the second placed Manchester City, Antonio Conte’s squad have been declared as less stronger than that of their rivals by the West Brom manager.

Pulis has praised the bench strength of Arsene Wenger’s side. “If you look at the players who were not playing and not in the team today, and then you look at Chelsea’s, I think Arsenal have definitely got the stronger squad. They have most probably got the staying power to see them through and it will be interesting to see what Chelsea do”, he said to the reporters.

According to Pulis, Chelsea will try to make their squad stronger in the upcoming transfer window as they will be keen to remain at the top position on the Premier League table. He has also mentioned that the top five clubs will be involving themselves in the winter transfer market. “I think Chelsea will spend, I don’t think Abramovich will sit back on what he’s got. It will be an interesting window for the top four or five clubs”, stated the West Brom manager.

With the last night victory over Pulis’s side, Arsenal can find themselves at the fourth position on the Premier league table.
