Felicity of festive time is back at Anfield after securing two back to back Premier League victories and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, currently second in the league table, will welcome Stoke City on a Tuesday evening fixture.
Despite a difficult start in the 2015-16 campaign, Stoke has upturned their season and the Potters’ boss Mark Hughes is eyeing for a European place finish ahead of this crucial encounter. Stoke, currently 11th, are determined to take home back something from the game with a view of registering themselves inside the top half of league table before new year’s eve.

Liverpool are boosted by the return of Daniel Sturridge who had a great impact in Liverpool’s derby win over Everton after coming on as a late substitute. But Joel Matip is still recovering from his ankle injury and won’t be rushed. But the Potters have a major injury boost as winger Ibrahim Afellay is back from his knee ligament injury which ruled him out since April. He will be available for selection alongside Marc Muniesa who had a knee injury and expected to be back for the Liverpool game following a late fitness test.

But the Reds restored the lead when Daniel Sturridge scored within 10 minutes and a second half brace from Divock Origi handed Jurgen Klopp’s men an easy victory against the Potters.

But all eyes will be on Joe Allen who will return to Anfield against his former employers. He is in great form for the Potters and the Reds will find it hard to control the decorated midfielder. Also, the likes of Glen Johnson, Charlie Adam and Peter Crouch will have a revisit who previously featured for the Reds.
