But the manager will start his job with the team from the fixtures against Germany and Lithuania on March.

The 46 year old Chelsea’s management staff has been working with the club since 2009 and he is considered to be a respected icon at the club.

Holland has been working with the current manager of England Gareth Southgate since 2013, initially with the Under 21 national team of England. Afterward he was appointed on an interim contract after the former England manager Sam Allardyce was sacked.

After the confirmation by FA, England manager Gareth Southgate expressed his happiness with the appointment of the Chelsea’s backroom staff. “I am delighted to have Steve as my assistant manager. We have worked very closely for three years and I have utmost respect for the way that he works, his professionalism and the detail of his preparation”, said Southgate to the reporters.

Southgate explained that they have good chemistry between themselves as they worked with the England’s under 21 national team and because of the reason, their mentality is supposed to be similar. As he stated, “Our aim at the start was to encourage a young England team to play in a certain style and to develop a winning mentality; I think we certainly got a long way down the road to doing that with the U21s.”

The England boss has mentioned Holland’s relationship with the senior player at Chelsea and praised his man management skills. “The challenge with the seniors is a greater one but Steve’s experience of working with elite players and coaches at Chelsea means he knows what a world-class team needs to look like”, Southgate said when he was asked about the difficulties of handling the seniors in the England national team.

Southgate did not forget to thank the Chelsea management to let the staff join on a full time basis as the England’s assistant manager as he mentioned, “I’d like to thank Chelsea for allowing Steve to join up with us over the last three years. It’s great that Steve is able to work with us on the March camp but getting him on a full-time basis is very important and I was more than prepared to wait until May for that to happen.”

“If we want to be successful then we have to employ the best people and, for me, Steve is the best”, said the England manager.

Reportedly, Steve Holland has won Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, League Cup and Premier League title as the Chelsea’s first team coach. Along with these, he has come across the philosophy of different managers at Chelsea which includes the big names like Guus Hiddink, Carlo Ancelotti, Andre Villas-Boas, Roberto Di Matteo, Rafale Benitez, Jose Mourinho and the current manager Antonio Conte. So, his resume seems to be very attractive so far with the combination of huge experience and achievements so far in his career. So, this statistics can be proved to be a boost to the England fans.
