Arsenal suffered their second defeat of 2016-17 Premier League campaign when they were humbled by Everton at Goodison Park in a Tuesday night encounter.

This fixture will be a tactical duel between two high-profile sides with two greatest managers of two generations – Pep’s Manchester City vs Arsene’s Arsenal.

City skipper Vincent Kompany is still a few weeks away following a knee ligament injury. Fabian Delph is lacking match fitness and Ilkay Gundogan might be out for rest of the season following his knee injury sustained against Watford. Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho are suspended as they were shown red in a fierce fight against Chelsea.

Arsenal will miss their key centre-back Shkodran Mustafi who will miss the entire festive time with hamstring strain. Santi Cazorla is still three months away following a long standing calf injury. Danny Welbeck is at least a couple of weeks away from a return, whereas, Mathieu Debuchy, Chuba Akpom and Per Mertesacker are still a month away with hamstring strain, stress fracture and knee surgery. Aaron Ramsey is a doubt against Manchester City as well due to tight hamstring.

Manchester City will miss their goal-machine Sergio Aguero who is suspended and unavailable for the fixture. Nevertheless, Kevin De Bruyne is in outstanding form since joining them last year and Pep Guardiola will rely on the decorated and versatile Belgian to snatch a crucial win.

Arsenal have a menacing attacking trio of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott who are among goals and expected to keep a vulnerable City backline on toes.
