There were 36 goals in gameweek 15 in the Premier League. Chelsea continued their impressive winning run by beating West Brom 1-0. Manchester United got to back to winning ways in the Premier League by beating Tottenham by same scoreline. Liverpool were held 2-2 by West Ham.
Arsenal came from behind to beat Stoke 3-1. Defending champion Leicester thrashed Manchester City 4-2. This is the week of top quality goals. No less than 10 goals are worthy of top 5 list. So, we put five other goals in honourable mentions. These goals can make into top in the opinion of another person. Still, these are our top 5 goals of this week.
1) Adam Lallana vs West Ham United
2) Aleksandar Kolarov vs Leicester City
3) Dimitri Payet vs Liverpool
4) Diego Costa vs West Brom
5) Henrikh Mkhitaryan vs Tottenham
5) Andy King vs Manchester City:
Andy Kind did not score too many in the Premier League, but when he had scored it was brilliant, in general. King, now in his 10th season with Leicester, took advantage the horrendous defending of Manchester City. The ball felt to him and he took a curving, powerful shot from outside the box. Claudio Bravo in Manchester City goal did not manage to stop it from going in. Jamie Vardy’s hattrick took away his spotlight, but he scored a brilliant goal.
4) Stefano Okaka vs Everton
Stefano Okaka opened his account in the Premier League with a brace against Everton. But his first goal was terrific. He was at the end of a cross, but the ball was behind him. He adjusted his body shape and then hit with the underneath path of his feet. It was pure timing, adjustment, quick thinking and obviously brilliant execution.
3) Wilfred Zaha vs Hull City
Wilfred Zaha scored another individual brilliant goal against Hull City. The talented English men got a return ball from a corner. He danced past two defenders to enter the penalty box and lashed a shot which had beaten Marshal in his first post. That was pure accuracy and power.
2) Sofiane Boufal vs Middlesbrough
Southampton manager Claude Puel signed Sofiane Boufal for the club record fee and gave him time to adjust. Now the man from Morocco is flourishing. He opened his account in the Premier League in style. He had got the ball when he was facing his own goal. He turned well and unleashed a fierce shot with his left foot. What a way to kick start in the Premier League!
1) Jeff Hendrick vs Bournemouth
Jeff Hendrick scored a spectacular goal against Bournemouth that might be the best goal of the week. He received a through ball from Matthew Lowton. But the ball was not the best, it was a bit high and difficult to control. But the Irish controlled beautifully and took a volley when it was in the air. His stunning effort from outside the penalty area beat the Bournemouth goalkeeper quite easily. It was a joy to watch.
