Arsenal are supposedly keen on West Ham’s British teenage wonder kid Declan Rice.

The youngster has impressed everyone with his solid performances for the West Ham Under-23s side with 12 appearances in total so far this season and has been named the captain for the season for the side. Rice has even broken into the Under-21 side of the Republic of Ireland’s national team.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is a big fan of Rice following his impressive performances on the club’s pre-season tour of Austria against Rubin Kazan and Czech outfit Slovacko and the 17-year-old centre-back is supposedly on the edge of breaking into the first team setup under Slaven Bilic. However, the young sensation is presently being observed by their London rivals, Arsenal over a potential January move.

But it will be difficult to prise him away from the London Stadium as the Republic of Ireland under-17 international still has three years remaining on his current deal at West Ham. And it is rumoured that the Hammers are set to oppose any possible proposal from Arsenal for one of their most valuable young assets.

Bilic will be eager to abstain from losing one of the club’s stars for the future to a Premier League rival, however as the club’s struggles continue this season, he has more concerning issues at the forefront of his thoughts at this stage. Their most recent defeat has come against their London rival at home to Arsenal in a 5-1 thumping manner which has set them at the 17th position and  Bilic is desperate to find the proper answer to his woes currently.

Earlier another West ham ace Reece Oxford was also rumoured with a move away from the club after both Manchester City and Manchester United were linked with the youngster as the young Centre-back is yet to commit his long-term future at the London stadium.
