Chelsea star reveals he is keen to win the ‘Trophy of The Best Player’

Chelsea number 10 Eden Hazard has talked about many things about himself and his scoring partner Diego Costa.

The West London side Chelsea have been playing at their best winning eight games in a row since when The Blues manager Antonio Conte has switched his formation to 3-4-3 and holding the top position in the league after the 14th gameweek.

Both the Spanish international Diego Costa and the Belgian star Eden Hazard have been going through their dream form so far this season as they are featuring on the leaderboard. They also managed to be on the scoresheet against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, where they secured a 3-1 victory over the Pep Guardiola’s side.

The equalizer from Costa on the Saturday’s game against Manchester City has placed him at the joint top position on the leaderboard of the Premier League this season. But the other star Hazard is also not so far behind as the Belgian has also been in the firing form since the beginning of the season scoring eight goals for his side.

So, clearly the Belgian has also listed himself as the contender of the Golden Boot award, but admitted that Costa has better chance to win the trophy as he will try to be the best player of the year.

“It’s not bad is it? But I always say to Diego that he can become the top scorer. If I get the chance to score a goal, I will take it. But he can become the top scorer if I can win the trophy of the best player”, Hazard replied to the reporters when he was asked about his deadly form in front of the goal.

Hazard clarified that his team are full of confidence in the race of the title as they have been performing brilliantly so far this season. He mentioned, “We can laugh about it now, but we’ll see. Diego is performing on a high level, we are scoring a lot of goals. We are strong as a team, we are together and that’s very good. We are going to try to keep playing on this level. We will see, but we are full of confidence.”

The Chelsea number 10 is just one goal away from scoring his 50th goal for his club, since joining the blue side of the West London. But he stated that the records are less important to him as the Belgian is eyeing to contribute in winning titles as much as he can. “Records have never been important for me”, he remarked,  “The only thing that interests me is winning the title at the end of the season. Man City are title contenders and we won. We are satisfied.”

Hazard admitted that his team had utilized the opportunities against Manchester City to win the clash, whereas the home side at Etihad Stadium had failed to convert the chances. “Next week there is another game we will try to win. We are just taking our moments. City had chances to go 2-0, 3-0 up. They could have won if they’d finished their opportunities, but that’s football too. We took our chances”, he mentioned.

In the end the Chelsea star was found very confident in the race of the title as he remarked, “Chelsea are always competing for the title. We are in a good position right now, but let’s see. We are trying.”
