Transfer: Manchester United to include superstar in swap deal with Spanish giants?

Anthony Martial, who was the blue eyed boy of Manchester United till last season, is finding himself below Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the pecking order as number 9 under Jose Mourinho. Marred by personal life scrutiny in the media and inconsistent form, the French striker, whom United bought from Monaco, is not getting regular starts in his favoured position.

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona wants Martial for a mouth watering £60million. The report also claims that Barcelona and Madrid are all set to be involved in £60million tug-of-war for Martial.

The Sun reports that there is a possibility of the swap deal of James Rodriguez and Martial as the want-away and unhappy £63million Real star Rodriguez is a United target for quite some time now. 20 year old Martial was brought at United from Monaco last season in a deal of £36million, which can potentially rise to £57.6million, with add-ons.

United want Barcelona midfielder Rakitic?

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, 28 year old Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has emerged as the potential midfield transfer target for Mourinho’s United. The transfer fee is quoted to be £35million or €41.7million approximately.

British paper Daily Star also says that the Red Devils are keen on Rakitic.

Sports-Nova Analysis: How true the news is:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hardly one more season left for the Red Devils and Wayne Rooney as the striker is no more appealing. Martial and Rashford are the two proper strikers with bright future, whom United have at their disposal. Martial is just 20, a few not so good games don’t mean he is finished. Undoubtedly, he is a class act, who is only going to get better. So, United wouldn’t certainly want to lose Martial. If the player himself hands a transfer request, that will be a different ballgame altogether, though United could offer astronomical wages to make him stay.

The Paul Pogba arrival has insured the fact that United won’t shy away from spending money and they will certainly go into the market searching for another world class midfielder. Pogba thrived beside the likes of Pirlo, Vidal. Pogba probably deserves better than a Fellaini or a Herrera beside him. Real’s Rodriguez has been being eyed by the Red Devils for a long time. The out of favour midfielder might just want to come to Old Trafford. But, since currently United are financially more powerful than Real, they won’t need to sell Martial to fund James transfer.

United may go for Rakitic but Barcelona certainly will not spend 60million for Martial. As they are looking to strengthen their midfield and defense, their priority remains elsewhere. Their MSN Trio is firing, they have Luis Suarez as their Centre Forward, with Paco Alcacer as back- up and Dybala being looked out.
