UEFA Europa League : Manchester United vs Feyenoord preview, lineups, betting odds and tv coverage

The Manchester United vs Feyenoord match is going to be immensely important for both the teams, as a win from this can almost ensure a knockout qualification for either. And so, we can expect an exhilarating fixture from Old Trafford.

The Group A of the Europa League 2016/17 is in an interesting shape at the moment, with three teams battling for the two qualification spots. Fenerbahce, sitting at the top of the group, will be looking forward to extend their journey by defeating minnows Zorya who do not have any hope left for this year’s competition. Jose Mourinho’s men, on the other hand, are at the third spot but will try utmost to continue their journey in the European competition with a sweet revenge against Feyenoord, a side they succumbed to a 0-1 defeat on the first match day of the UEFA Europa League group stage.

Manchester United vs Feyenoord possible lineups:

Jose Mourinho has already given hints that Armenian star Henrikh Mkhitaryan will play a pivotal role in this fixture. And so, the new signing is expected to start from the right flank. On the other hand, Luke Shaw should also be back in the squad and start ahead of Matteo Darmian. In the midfield, Michael Carrick may get some rest, as the team would definitely need him in the weekend’s Premier League outing. And since Zlatan Ibrahimovic should be back in the first eleven, the boss might drop Paul Pogba to the midfield and start with Wayne Rooney just behind Zlatan. We also think that Jesse Lingard might get a game after some time.

Here is our predicted starting eleven for the home side.

Feyenoord, on the other hand, will like to field their strongest starting eleven. Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst uses a 4-3-3 formation with former Liverpool man Dirk Kuyt in the advanced role in the midfield. The same formation, along with the following starting lineup is expected to kick it off at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
