Hector Bellerin has signed a new long term contract with Arsenal, much to the delight of Arsenal supporters. Reports suggest that the Spanish International has penned a six and half year contract, £100,000-a-week deal to end speculation over any outside interest and has committed his long term future to Arsenal.
Bellerin left the La Liga giants for the Emirates aged sixteen in 2011 and has continually been linked with a move back to Spain since breaking into the Gunners first-team in 2014. But the defender has ended all the speculations with this mega deal.
Bellerin joked last month he would refuse to answer the phone if Barcelona called and last week made it clear he sees his future at Arsenal, where he has established himself as first-choice right-back. Arsenal have always wanted to keep him and now the defender seems to have found his right home.
Hector’s outstanding displays earned him a spot in the Spanish National Team in EURO 2016, which has been a massive high point of his career.

Bellerin said in a video posted on Arsenal’s Twitter account: “Hello everyone, sorry to keep you guys waiting, I had a very big meeting next door. I just wanted to say that I just signed my new deal with the club, so I’m really, really, really happy.”
He also said that he feels home at Arsenal and he wants to stay at the club for many more years.
Bellerin also made a post from his own Twitter account saying, “A lot has changed since I first joined the club. This is my home. The club who gave me my first opportunity.#COYG”
This signing must give the Gunners a massive boost as they have been able to keep hold of their star man from the clutches of Barcelona and Manchester City.
Arsene Wenger must be looking now to secure the deals of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil and keep the rejuvenation going for the Gunners.
