Arsenal travel to Old Trafford to face old foes Manchester United this Saturday as Premier League resumes. It will be an intriguing fixture as two rivals will fight it out with both the coaches not having the best of relations.

Ahead of this match Arsenal fans were in huge doubt whether their key players will feature or not. But now, Arsenal fans have a good news ahead of the match.

Their talisman Alexis Sanchez texted Arsene Wenger and assured that he is in good shape. Well this news is something that will make the Arsenal fans so happy. The Chilean played for his country against Uruguay on Tuesday and scored a brace, before which Wenger was concern about his hamstring problem. Arsenal wanted the Chile team not to hurry his nursing period, but Alexis featured for Chile and played for more than 80 minutes of that match.

“I haven’t heard a lot [about his fitness] because we were in doubt 24 hours before the game against Uruguay,” said Wenger.

“We didn’t know if he would play or not. In the end they decided to play him. He texted us to tell us he is in good shape after the game. He came off after 84 minutes and now we have to wait. I see him tomorrow [Friday] morning and then I will see if he can be involved in the squad or not.”

Arsene confirmed that he has to assess Alexis’ condition and he will have to consider how the player feels. The Gunners boss was also clear that he trusts the medical team of Chile and he understands the predicament of the Chile team.

“You have to trust the medical people from Chile,” he said. “I completely understand that Alexis wanted to play in qualifiers – they’re not friendlies. Chile are not in a fantastic position to qualify for the World Cup and I understand that Alexis is keen to play for his country in such an important game.”

Arsenal will take on Manchester United on Saturday and a win is really needed for Alexis Sanchez and his side, should they want to push for the ultimate glory this time.
