David de Gea’s release clause revealed with Real Madrid refusing to give up


As indicated by reports in Spain, Manchester United star David De Gea could join Real Madrid if the Los Blancos meet a £52million release clause in the goalkeeper’s agreement.

The Spaniard has set up himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world over the years and has earned enthusiasm from the La Liga giants since long. It has now been reported by Spanish sports daily, Marca, that a release clause is available in De Gea’s most recent contract.

The 26-year-old joined United in 2011 and had agreed to move to the Bernabeu in 2015 but observed his transfer to Madrid fall at the last moment when his pre-agreed move to Real Madrid collapsed spectacularly during a bunch of accusations and countercharge with Real’s faulty fax machine being apparently the reason.

De Gea reacted to the news by signing another four-year new contract with Manchester United until 2019 however the Red Devils have failed to mark it big in the Premier League as well as in the Champions League where they could not qualify in two of the last three seasons.

Jose Mourinho influenced De Gea to stay when he was selected the previous summer however Marca reported that the goalkeeper had a £52m release clause introduced into his agreement when he signed the new contract.

Although their current goalkeeper Keylor Navas is performing consistently and has helped them to win two Champions League within three years but as Per Marca, they see De Gea as their next Galactico superstar. They claimed, The idea of bringing De Gea to Bernabeu as a galactico signing is being seen as the thought of club President Florentino Perez.

With a transfer ban for 18 months, the Los Blancos are currently in no position to sign De Gea but when the ban will be uplifted they can again go for the Spaniard and £52million for a 28-year-old entering his prime could be a far more reasonable price.
