Alex Iwobi to play for Arsenal for years to come, confirms the player’s father

Arsenal sensation Alex Iwobi’s father has said that the young winger is committed to the Gunners and will stay with Arsenal for ‘many many years’ even if FC Barcelona showed interest in the 20 year old Nigerian.

Now at the age of 20, Iwobi has become a regular at Arsenal FC and has occupied the winger’s position in the team ahead of England international Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Arsenal’s £17million summer signing Lucas Perez.

The talented winger is already a full international with country Nigeria and has all the potential to be a star at North London. Iwobi has impressed a lot and has caught the eye of an Arsenal team who are unbeaten since matchday one and are two points off the top of the Premier League table. There is definitely no doubt that Iwobi would be even a bigger star if he moved out of Arsenal FC and joined a big European club such as FC Bayern Munchen, FC Barcelona or Real Madrid CF but Iwobi’s father Chuka has completely ruled out a move to a bigger European club when he recently spoke to

Chuka Iwobi stated that: “At this point in time, he is at the right place. He’s doing well at Arsenal, but should any club come for him now, the answer would certainly be no. For him now, it’s not about the money. So, should a club like Barcelona come with more money, he will certainly stay back at Arsenal because now it is not about him making money, it’s about him concentrating on his career, progressing and going on to the next stage. I see him being in Arsenal for many, many years.’’

If Iwobi wants to keep playing for the Gunners, the Nigerian has to start scoring goals on a much more regular basis to ensure his stay at the club for the upcoming seasons and be an important part of the Arsenal squad, and even helping the team to win the silverware in upcoming years. Iwobi currently hasn’t yet scored for Arsene Wenger’s team in the Premier League this season but the youngster keeps on improving game by game.

Wenger himself has shown faith Iwobi and has told:
