Memphis Depay could join Everton on loan in January transfer window with Ronald Koeman trying to lure away the out-of-favor Manchester United winger to Merseyside Club .
Depay could be one of the very players after reports suggesting that Mourinho is looking to get rid of at least eight players from his first team squad in January.
Manchester United will listen to offers for the Dutch international, who is yet to start a Premier League game under Jose Mourinho this season, and Koeman is believed to be eager with the possibility of tempting his countryman to Goodison Park.
The Dutch Everton manager is very much aware of how great talent Depay was in his country, rapidly developing as the brightest talent leaving the Hollands before his move to the Premier League.
Depay, who has just scored two Premier League goals for Manchester United till now, came on as a substitute in the Netherlands’ 1-1 draw with Belgium last night and fueling the rumor, the Everton manager was present in the stands.
The 25 million summer signing arrived in Manchester with a major reputation in the 2015-16 season. But he has never truly hit the form of his last season with PSV in the Premier League as the winger failed to get even near the 22 goals that he scored in the 2014/15 season for Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven.
Koeman has previously suggested that he tried to sign Depay when he was at Southampton, prior to the winger’s move to Manchester United in 2015 under Louis van Gaal.
“We tried to bring him to Southampton but he wanted to stay for one more year at PSV,” he said. “When United went in for him this summer, we knew at Saints that we had no chance. When they come, we have no chance.”
Apart from Everton, Italian side Roma, French side Marseille and Turkish side Fenerbahce are also linked with the Dutch Winger.
