After the dismal display from the defending champions, a news was imminent to come one day or another and as it happens now, Chelsea have parted company with Jose Mourinho.
If he was not Mourinho, Abrahimovic would have sacked him a lot earlier. The Russian owner has now decided to bring down the axe.
The Portguese manager was feeling helpless during this season as not one of his efforts to comeback clicked. After the defeat against Leicester, he expressed that his work had been betrayed by his players. When the distance between the manager and the player increases, it’s not good for a club to stick with it.
Mourinho also made it clear that his team cannot reach the top four this season. It sounded realistic but probably, it was not quite motivating for the Blues faithfuls.
The ‘Special One’ has always been hailed for his man management skills but this season Chelsea dressing room did not look happy at all. The relationship between Diego Costa and Mourinho was not going well at all. Fabregas, earlier, accused his team-mates for not playing the football they should play.
In this complete distress, the Stamford Bridge management decided for a change. There has been an official announcement from the club, but we don’t know yet who will be the replacement. The name of ex-Dnipro manager Juande Ramos has come up.

A tweet from BBC Sport sealed the news.
Regardless of whoever comes at Chelsea, it will be a tough job for him to take the club to a position where they can fight for an European place.
