It was a miserable night for the Gunners as they provided a lack-lustre performance against Norwich and on top of that, lost two key players due to injury.
Alexis Sanchez limped off the ground holding the back of his leg and Koscielny suffered a muscle problem early into the game. Adding to the worries, Santi Cazorla took a knock and to quote Wenger, “Cazorla finished on one leg”.
Now coming to the results, Arsenal surely did not like the way things had spanned out. Though Mesut Ozil gave the gunners early breakthrough, they threw away the control of the game to the home team. A poor bit of defending from Gabriel helped the Canaries equalise through Lewis Grabban and get back into the match. After that, neither team has looked threatening and the game progressed to a dour draw.
Arsene Wenger surely would not have liked this trip to Norfolk at all as the visitors were welcomed with tackles flying in right from the outset. As a consequence, the Frenchman lost two of his vital players which might also have cost him the crucial away fixture against Olympiakos in Champions League.
