It’s another game day at Anfield and Liverpool will face Bordeaux in the 5th game week of UEFA Europa League in the group stages. Liverpool had drew the earlier fixture 1-1 in France after taking the lead early in the game. But new manager, new hope and a new energized Liverpool might thrash Bordeaux at home very easily.
Liverpool has got a win against Rubin Kazan in an away game in last round and they have just thrashed title contenders Manchester City at Etihad by 4-1. So, they are on a roll for sure and looks poised to get an easy way out against Bordeaux.
Jurgen Klopp will go for a 4-2-3-1 formation by resting Coutinho and Milner after their heavy duty performance at Etihad. Mignolet will start in goal. Skrtel will lead the team along side Dejan Lovren in the central defense. Lovren has found his touch against Manchester City and is pumped up to perform against Bordeaux again. Clyne will start as right back along with Alberto Moreno in the left. But there are chances that Skrtel could be rested for Kolo Toure after the heavy workload he put up at Etihad.
Lucas and Can will help out the defense and link up play with Firmino up ahead of them. Ibe will come in for Coutinho as Lallana will try to get a goal or assist to support the giant performances he is putting out every time. Christian Benteke is likely to start as the lone striker with Sturridge in the bench, fit enough to play. It might be chance for Benteke to prove his 32 million tag and cement a place in the starting line up. Many of the Liverpool’s players like Can and Lucas have to step up today to prove their worth as Jordan Henderson will return to the side in the weekends.
Liverpool is pumped up and ready to take down the minnows like Bordeaux at Anfield. Goals will surely come in the fixture. Our prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Bordeaux.
