The strong rumours about Real Madrid being interested in Eden Hazard took a firm step up as Los Blancos assistant coach and RM Castilla senior coach Zinedine Zidane expressed his admiration for the Belgian in an interview to FIFA.com yesterday.
Hazard is now valued at 60 Million € and Chelsea bought him from Lille for nearly 40 Million € three years earlier. Zidane thinks that Hazard is no different than the likes of Messi or Ronaldo.
“I enjoy everything he does on the pitch”, the French World Cup champion was full of praise for the Chelsea superstar. He also thinks that Hazard is the reason that Chelsea is still at the top of the Premier League table.
One of the problems that Real Madrid could face in signing the diminutive midfielder is Chelsea’s reluctance to accept the offer. Hazard signed a new five and a half-year deal with the Blues in February.
“I like the way he carries himself” added Zidane,” That decisive streak in him and the fact that he’s improving every year.”
Hazard, now, tops the list of fantasy points among EPL midfielders with 211 points and Sanchez is the next behind him with 31 points short. He has also been nominated for PFA Player of the Year award. In April 2013, Gareth Bale won PFA Player of the year award and Real Madrid agreed on a transfer of the Welshman in September. Will the same story repeat this year or can Cheslea hold on to their ace?
