Just a few months ago, Budapest Honvéd FC tried to bring Alessandro Del Piero to Hungary but they were beaten in the race by Delhi Dynamos. Del Piero captained the Delhi Dynamos side in the first season of the Indian Super League which ended earlier this month.
However Honvéd’s sporting director Fabio Cordella, hasn’t given up hope of seeing Del Piero wear his club’s number 10 jersey. In fact he has made a new and improved offer to the Italian striker. He believes that this offer would be able to entice the Juventus legend to his club.
The offer includes 100% of the marketing rights on top of 50% of the gate receipts for every home game as well as the friendlies abroad. This new offer may see Del Piero start the next chapter of his career in Hungary.
Having won 13 Hungarian League titles and 7 League cups, Budapest Honvéd FC boasts to be the club where Ferenc Puskás started his career as a footballer.
