1933:Lala Amarnath scored the first Test century for India playing in his debut against England .

1931:Exactly 111 years ago Foster scored the highest run on debut.His record breaking inning of 287 studded with 37 fours came to an end by a great catch from Alfred Noble .He is the only cricketer to captain England both in Cricket as well as Football.

1928: W Hammond played a gem of knock against Aussies .He displayed all round strokeplay in his knock of 251 runs.

2012:England wins the Test series in India after 28 years .

1946:In Sydney Barnes and Bradman(234) put on world record 405 runs for the fifth wicket.


2010:M Johnson six wicket haul helped Aussies to their only win in 2010 Ashes series.

2013:Oz regains the Ashes after the hostile spell of fast bowling from Johnson.The green top WACA pitch suited his bowling style as
he finished with match figures of 6/40.

1985:After eight wicket haul from Kapil India needed someone to bat on to avoid follow-on .Sunil Gavaskar played a masterclass inning
of unbeaten 166 runs as India managed to draw the match.
