It has been exactly 10 years since the best ever North London derby enthralled over thirty six thousand spectators in White Hart Lane. It was 13th November, 2004 when Arsenal, with nine consecutive wins against the rivals, met Tottenham to continue their run. This match was Martin Jol’s first outing as the Spurs’ head coach and he had a big testing time against his counterpart Arsene Wenger.
The match started on a low note but at the thirty seventh minute, Spurs drew the first blood through Neybet. That strike opened the floodgate and Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Fredrik Ljungberg and Robert Pires all scored for the Gunners as the match ended 4-5 in favor of the visitors. Till date, this instance holds the record of maximum number of goals in a North London derby. Watch the highlights of the match below.
