In the aftermath of the unwanted brawl between ATK and FC Goa players and coaching staffs, AIFF decided to step on to the matter to take disciplinary actions.
In the recent release by AIFF, it was stated that Robert Pires of FC Goa had been suspended for next two matches of Indian Super League and he was fined Rs. 5 lakh. Fikru Lemessa of ATK also received the same punishment whereas Kolkata head coach Antonio Lopez Habas will not have the permission to sit on the sidelines for the next four matches. He was also charged with the same amount of monetary penalty.
All three of the aforementioned personnel were found breaching AIFF disciplinary code (Article 58) of Offensive Behaviour and Fair Play. Habas was previously cautioned under the same code of conduct earlier on 18th October, 2014.
Atletico’s Goalkeeper Coach Pradipkumar Bhaktawer was also found guilty under League rule 22.2 and was fined Rs. 30,000 with a one match ban.
The alleged players and officials can appeal for a scrutiny of this decision within four days of this announcement, AIFF mentioned in the document.
