After winning with Juventus, Alessandro Del Piero decided to discover new football realities. He played in A-League with Sydney: “I felt very well in Sydney as a traveler in the football streets, why not continuing? New acquaintances, new adventures and new emotions,” he told Il Foglio.
He now moved to the ISL in India: “Why India? For the same reason why I picked Australia over other proposals I received, closer the reality I had lived until that moment. In India, there are all the conditions in order to make football establish itself, I want to contribute to the raise of the movement, as it happened in Australia. They proposed to me a new adventure with Dynamos Delhi and a parallel professional path as ambassador of the new League that is already drawing the interest of the biggest football realities in the World.”
He’s overseas, but he hasn’t forget the joy of the 2006 World Cup: “When I think about the national team, the things that pops up in my mind are the run after my goal against Germany and the one after the Grosso penalty in Brazil, not anymore the golden goal by Trezeguet in Rotterdam. I will never forget that moment: I run like madman first towards Fabio and then towards Buffon. Seeing the footage I realize even more how happy I was in that moment.”
