Alessandro del Piero to play for Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League. The 39-year old is expected to be signed by the ISL side as their marquee player by this weekend.

Del Piero played in the Australian A-League in the last two seasons, scoring 24 goals in less than 50 appearances for Sydney FC, after his phenomenal  career at Juventus.

Del Piero moved to Juventus in 1993 from Padova, and had 19 glorious seasons with the club. He has 290 goals to his name for the Bianconeri in 705 appearances. He has won the Serie-A title multiple times along with the Champions League with the side. He holds the record as both the leading goalscorer and the most-capped player for Juventus.

Del Piero’s former Juventus teammate, David Trezeguet, has already been signed as the marquee player for FC Pune City.

Other foreign players already signed by Delhi Dynamos are Mads Junker, Morten Skoubo, Bruno Herrero Arias, Gustao Marmentini dos Santos, Marek Cech, Pavel Elias, Kristof Van Hout and Henrique Dinis Oliveira Dias.
